Wednesday, July 13 ‐ 7:30 pm Table top photography and portraits by natural light.
Bring cameras, tripods and set‐ups

Saturday July 23 ‐ 9:00 am Field trip to Queens Botanical Garden for macro flower photography.

Bring cameras, tripods and close‐up lenses or attachments if you have them. Rain date July 30

Wednesday, Aug 3 ‐ 7:30 pm Review of pictures taken at previous meeting. Bring images on a CD or DVD, flash drive or memory card.

1474 Megapixel Camera

You used to be able to get lost in the crowd, but not anymore.  Double click on any area in the picture to bring the person closer.  Or, just click the mouse and use the mouse wheel to bring them closer.

This is a photograph of 2009 Obama Inauguration. You can see IN FOCUS the face of EACH individual in the crowd !!!

You can scan and zoom to any section of the crowd.  .  . Wait a few seconds.  Double click anywhere   . And the focus adjusts to give you a very identifiable close up.
 

The picture was taken with a robotic 1474 megapixel camera (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera).  Every one attending could be scanned after the event, should something have gone wrong during it.

Competition Schedule

Hi everyone,

Since the February competition meeting was cancelled,  the competition will be made up in the following way:

On March 2nd ....February Color Prints

                            February B&W Prints

                            March Color Prints

                            March B&W Prints

                            March Digital Images

On April 6th........February Digital Images

                            April Digital Images

                            April Color Prints

                            April B&W Prints

On May 4th.........We will return to the usual three categories.  

                            REMEMBER.......THIS IS THE RESTRICTED COMPETITION..CURVES.

The subject of each image must demonstrate "CURVES" Images that do not will be disqualified(receive and automatic "6") This will be for the judge to decide.

On June 1st...........Best of the Best...You may submit up to five(5) Images in each category that have scored "7"                                or more in the monthly competitions during the year.

MINI SESSION by ETTORE TRAUZZI

Ettore's Mini Session on Still Life Photography on Jan.

19 shared his expertise in manipulating metals and other

materials to create many of his photographs. He did not

use digital or computer manipulation on any of the photos

and he used available light and a reflective source.

While not planned, Ettore's presentation was a great intro

to Chris Moore's presentation that followed on Flash

Photography.
